Doyenne is a family calendar that brings your school, team and personal calendars together and keeps track of who is driving which child. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it. Doyenne is operated by AAIN LLC, 130 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801. Questions: hello@getdoyenne.com.
What we collect
What you give us
- Your name, email address and time zone.
- Your children's first names and the color you pick for each. We do not ask for their birthdays, schools, photos or contact details, and children do not get accounts.
- The names of the people who drive, and any email address you use to invite a co-parent.
- Events you create: title, time, place, notes, category and reminders.
What connecting a calendar brings in
- Events from the calendars you connect (Google, Outlook) or subscribe to (school, league and other .ics links): title, time, place, description and organizer.
- The list of your calendars and the email address of the connected account.
- Access tokens from those services, encrypted before storage. We never see or store your password for them.
What we collect automatically
- Basic usage analytics: pages visited, features used, and errors. We use PostHog for analytics and Sentry for errors.
- Standard server logs, including IP address, kept for security and troubleshooting.
Why we use it
- To show your calendars in one place, and to create or change events when you ask.
- To flag overlaps and rides with no driver.
- To send the reminders and family invitations you ask for.
- To provide the private calendar link you can subscribe to on your phone.
- To take payment for paid plans, through Stripe.
- To keep Doyenne working, secure and improving.
We do not sell your information, and we do not show advertising. We do not use your calendar content to train artificial intelligence models.
Google user data
Doyenne's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We ask only for the permissions Doyenne needs: to read the list of your calendars, and to read and write your events.
- We use your Google Calendar data solely to show your schedule inside Doyenne, to detect conflicts and ride gaps, and to create or change the events you ask us to.
- We do not transfer Google user data to anyone else, except as needed to run the service (see below), or when the law requires it.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, and no human at Doyenne reads it, except with your explicit permission when you ask us for support, or for security or legal reasons.
- You can disconnect at any time in Settings, or at your Google account permissions page. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens and the events we imported from that account.
Children
Doyenne is for parents and other adults. It is not directed to children, and children do not create accounts or sign in. A child appears only as a first name and a color that you enter, so that events can be labeled. If you believe a child has given us information directly, write to hello@getdoyenne.com and we will delete it.
Sharing
We share information only with the services that make Doyenne work:
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting.
- Stripe: payments. Card details go to Stripe, never to us.
- Resend: reminder and invitation emails.
- PostHog and Sentry: usage analytics and error reports.
Doyenne does not currently send your information to any artificial intelligence service. If that changes, we will name the service here and tell you before it starts.
We also share what you choose to share: events you mark as shared are visible to the family members you invite, and anyone holding your private calendar link can see the events that link includes. You can reset that link at any time in Settings.
How long we keep it
- Your account and its data stay until you delete your account.
- Deleting your account removes your profile, children, drivers, events, connections and tokens within 30 days.
- Disconnecting a calendar immediately deletes its tokens and the events imported from it.
- Backups are kept for up to 30 days and then overwritten.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Calendar tokens are encrypted before they are stored. Database rules restrict every row to the account that owns it and to the family members that account has invited. No system is perfect, so please tell us at hello@getdoyenne.com if you find a weakness.
Your choices
- See or correct your information in Settings.
- Disconnect any calendar, or reset your phone calendar link, in Settings.
- Turn reminders off in Settings.
- Ask us to export or delete everything by writing to hello@getdoyenne.com. We reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as those under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. Write to us and we will honor them. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you and update the date above before the change takes effect.
